3:45 p.m. Monday — Raymond P. Jacobs, 27, of Butler allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, Hilary Knisley, on East New Castle Street.Police said they found Knisley lying against a wall outside the Dollar General store. She told officers that she and Jacobs happened to pass one another walking when Jacobs called her a derogatory name.Jacobs “kicked the victim's hip and forced her into the wall,” according to court documents. “(She) stated the defendant kicked her until she fell to the ground.”Knisley was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries to her hip and leg. Police got an arrest warrant for Jacobs on a charge of simple assault.

5:15 a.m. Monday — Tools and other property were stolen from a Butler Area Sewage Authority tank construction project site on Saw Mill Run Road.Taken were assorted construction tools, hammer drills and saws, as well as copper and stainless steel pipe.Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call police at 724-283-8014.

3:45 p.m. Tuesday — Alisha Law, 24, of Worthington was hurt when the van she was driving crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 3011 near Gormley Road in West Franklin Township. Law, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with minor injuries.Monday — An unknown burglar stole a television, jewelry, money and a handgun from a 53-year-old Worthington man's home on Route 422 in West Franklin Township. The break-in happened between 8 a.m. and 4:10 p.m.Monday — Tools and three tool boxes worth a combined $10,000 were stolen from a Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad work site on Sloan Road in East Franklin Township. Also stolen was about 500 gallons of diesel fuel. The theft happened between Friday and Monday.
