3:20 a.m. Saturday — Matthew Durso, 20, of Slippery Rock Township was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.Friday — Christie Stamm of Washington Township reported the theft of her 2001 blue Oldsmobile Alero outside her residence at 840 N. Washington Road between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday. The car's license plate number is EYA4020. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.6:45 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by William Whitlatch, 21, of West Sunbury went off South Benbrook Road in Butler Township, hit a tree lying on the ground and then went down an embankment before hitting two other trees. Whitlatch, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries. He told police he fell asleep at the wheel. Whitlatch was cited for careless driving and having an expired registration.

9:48 a.m. — A northbound car driven by Laura Hoffman, 33, of Sarver crossed into the southbound lanes of Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, continuing northbound before traveling off the berm. The car drove through shrubbery until hitting a small tree. Hoffman was found in the car breathing but unresponsive, suffering from an apparent seizure. The car was locked, so emergency crews smashed a rear window to gain access to her. Kittanning EMS provided treatment. Hoffman, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries.
