Thursday — Police reported that John Brian Best, 19, of Lyndora was charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash June 20 at East Jefferson and Second Street that left three people injured.Police said Best was driving a car that rear-ended another car driven by Renee Steele, 31, of Renfrew. Best allegedly drove away after the collision.Both drivers and Alisha Ames, 19, of Chicora, a passenger in Best's car, suffered minor injuries. Police said Best is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving without insurance and careless driving.11:10 p.m. Tuesday — Nine people — five youths and four young adults — were charged after police were called to an underage party at a home in the city's South Side.Cited for underage drinking were David Gould, 20, Ryan Dillard, 19, Ashley Smith, 19, and Michael Dunmyre, 19, all of Butler. Also cited were three boys and two girls who police did not identify.One of the boys, 16, also was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.1:50 p.m. Tuesday — An employee of Wiest Paving Co. was injured in a truck on East Brady Street when he was struck in the neck by flying glass from a window shattered by a shot from a BB gun.Police later found the alleged shooter, a 15-year-old boy, who is charged in juvenile court with propulsion of missiles into a vehicle, simple assault, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.Police did not identify the boy or the victim, who suffered minor injuries.
2:52 p.m. Sunday — A motorcycle driven by Stacey Cramer, 41, of Natrona Heights lost control and fell onto its side on Route 68 in Oakland Township. The driver, her passenger, Brandi Cramer, 13, also of Natrona Heights, and the motorcycle then struck a guard rail as they slid underneath it before landing at the bottom of a hill. Stacey Cramer was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where she was listed in good condition Thursday. Brandi Cramer was initially taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital, where she was no longer being treated Thursday. Both Cramers were wearing helmets. Stacey Cramer was cited for a traffic violation.
1:55 a.m. Wednesday — Michael E. Eckart, 32, of Stoneboro was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Yankee School and Hendersonville roads in Sandy Lake Township.
