Good News…Butler County's drop-out rate is less than 1% and truancy is 5% or less. 77% or more of Butler County students score proficient or above in math and 73% score proficient or above in reading.

Bad News….According to new census data, the number of single-parent households in Butler County grew by 18% in the past 10 years. There are 4,623 single-parent households representing 22% of all households with children; many are low-income. Butler County's crime statistics of 2009 and 2010 show an increase in juvenile arrests during summer months.We must be diligent…What would happen if we stopped providing programs to those 5,135 children?
