Knoch Best Buddies hold inclusion week
Knoch High School’s Best Buddies program will raise awareness and spread the word about inclusion in the upcoming week while raising funds for related activities.
Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to breaking down barriers that often isolate people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A battle between homerooms next week will see the room with the most monetary donations “balloon” principal Todd Trofimuk on March 16 during the Polar Pop.
All donations, which could be students’ change, family donations, or donations solicited from local business, will benefit Special Olympics Unified Sports, Best Buddies Friendship Walk and the Best Buddies program.
Students also can participate in Spirit Week to encourage inclusion among all students.
Matching Monday, PJ or comfy clothes Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, tie-dye Thursday and movie merch Friday will be observed.
