Catherine E. Gillen
Catherine E. Gillen, 89, of Forestville died at 12:50 p.m. Friday at UPMCPassavant hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Gillen was born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 28, 1919, the daughter of Paul Schneider and Philomena (Kiesel) Schneider.
She was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville and a former member of St. Josephs Church in the Mt. Oliver district of Pittsburgh.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mothers Club of St. Josephs and the Christian Mothers of St. Anthony. She was a former member of the Wednesday Night Ladies Bowling League in Slippery Rock.
Mrs. Gillen is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Bechtold and Margaret Schultz, both of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Kathleen M. Roscoe and her husband, Richard F., of Pittsburgh; three sons, John P. Gillen and his wife, Patricia, of Grove City, Hilliard G. Gillen II and his wife, Hildegarde, of Pittsburgh, and Jamie H. Gillen of Forestville; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilliard G. Gillen, who she married Oct. 31, 1937, and who died Aug. 24, 1991; a daughter, Phyllis M. Zorbas and a grandson, Russel Roscoe.

JAMISON FUNERAL HOME, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville, officiated by the Rev. Matthew R. McClain.
