Tips from neighbor lead to arrest for heroin sales

Drugs allegedly found in drink can

An alleged dealer is behind bars after a warrant search of his home in Butler turned up dozens of stamp bags of suspected heroin — most of which were inside a fake energy drink can, authorities said.

Jeisan M. Timblin, 46, was arrested Saturday on felony drug possession. He is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The arrest followed a Butler County Drug Task Force investigation that began in June after a neighbor contacted officers about drug activity at Timblin's house on the 300 block of Negley Avenue in the city's Island neighborhood, investigators said.

Two police informants earlier this month provided more information, telling officers that the defendant was selling heroin.

According to one of the informants, officers said, Timblin “would travel down to Pittsburgh and purchase heroin, which he would then sell from his residence.”

The task force later used that informant to set up a controlled drug buy with the defendant, investigators said.

The task force also learned that the state police vice unit was investigating the house, and vice officers allegedly had made their own previous drug buy there.

In the task force buy, officers said, Timblin allegedly sold heroin to the informant.

The investigation led to a search warrant Friday signed by District Judge Bill O'Donnell. The warrant was executed at Timblin's home around 7:40 p.m.

Officers in the warrant application noted that the suspect has a felony drug conviction in a 2012 case in Erie County.

Seized in Friday's search were 58 glassine bags containing suspected heroin, according to charging documents. Officers alleged that 52 of those bags were found hidden in a fake Monster Energy drink can.

Also confiscated during the search were empty stamp bags, $238, two digital scales and a cell- phone.

O'Donnell arraigned Timblin on a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
