3:21 p.m. Saturday — A 38-year-old Butler woman reported that her wallet was stolen while she was at the Butler Public Library on North McKean Street. She said the wallet was in a diaper bag in her child's stroller. The wallet contained $10 and credit and debit cards.10:22 a.m. Saturday — A Butler woman faces a misdemeanor charge for not confining her dogs after letter carrier James Behon had to run for safety to get away from a pair of pit bulls that chased him on Mackey Avenue."Luckily," a police report said, "Behon was able to jump in the bed of a pickup truck to avoid being attacked."Elizabeth, Anne Cosme, 30, who owns the dogs, eventually came outside and took the animals back into her apartment on Mackey Avenue.Police said when an officer tried to speak with Cosme at her home, she would not answer the door; she also did not return a telephone message that police left.Cosme faces a misdemeanor count for letting her dogs run loose, police said, since she has been cited six prior times in the past three weeks for the same violation, usually a summary offense.

Sunday — Someone dumped a box containing bags of concrete mix and fertilizer into Connoquenessing Creek in Connoquenessing Township. The material was dumped under the bridge on Welsh Road between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.2 p.m. Saturday — Michael Lewis Frederick, 44, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Wendy Frederick, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Margaret Avenue home in Forward Township.Police said Michael Frederick also threatened to burn down their house, according to court documents. Wendy Frederick suffered minor injuries in the alleged assault.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Michael Frederick on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, and remanded him to Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Saturday — An unknown thief stole a mailbox at an Election House Road home in Franklin Township. The theft happened between 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.9:56 p.m. Friday — Jason Knox, no age given, of Butler was hurt when he lost control of his pickup, crossed into the opposite lane, collided with a car and hit a tree along Three Degree Road in Forward Township.Knox was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with a moderate injury. Thomas Leslie, no age given, of Butler was driving the car. Police said the crash remains under investigation.12:28 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Ronald L. Russell, 57, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Merle J. Hoak, 75, of Saxonburg collided at Route 356 and Grohman Road in Summit Township. Police said Russell, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor injury, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.11:06 a.m. Tuesday — Curt A. Adams, 43, of Butler is accused of threatening 39-year-old Tracy Adams of Butler during a domestic dispute at the Unionville Fire Hall in Center Township. Police said Curt Adams drove away before troopers got there; however, police a short time later stopped him on Main Street in Butler, and arrested him for driving under the influence.In addition to DUI, Adams was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, harassment, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail, following arraignment.Dec. 9 — Someone burglarized a home in the 400 block of Brownsdale Road in Forward Township, Anyone with information about the break-in, which occurred between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
