Wednesday — A vandal or vandals smashed out the windows of several vehicles in and around the 200 block of East Pearl Street. Police reported the rear windows of four vehicles were broken.Wednesday — Two decorative stone lions were stolen overnight from the front porch of a home in the 400 block of North Washington Street. The stolen property is valued at $120.Wednesday — Two lighted and potted Christmas trees were from taken from a home in the 400 block of West Street. The stolen property is valued at $50.

Tuesday — Police filed a pair of cases against a township woman who allegedly bounced two checks, one for $1,650, last year.Krista Joy Bradley, 32, between Oct. 5 and 15 passed on the checks that she knew were written on a closed bank account, according to court documents.She used one bogus check, police said, to pay her rent for a Hansen Avenue apartment. That check was for $1,650. The other check for $27.26 was for a pizza delivery.Police charged Bradley with two counts of bad checks.The suspect, meanwhile, has been in the Butler County Prison since Nov. 10 in connection with other theft-related cases.

11:42 a.m. Jan. 13 — Andrew J. Shoop, 24, of Grove City was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, damage to attended vehicles and reckless driving in the 200 block of W. Main Street, where police say he struck two vehicles and left the scene. Police said Shoop refused chemical testing.
