1:30 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by James Kaechele, 21, of Butler Township struck a utility pole along Hansen Avenue. Kaechele was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
9:33 a.m. Sunday — Two people were injured when cars driven by Patrick McCarren, 81, and Samantha Kritufek, 19, both of Butler collided at Route 8 and Volkswood Drive in Center Township.McCarren was treated for minor injuries; Kritufek suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Police said McCarren was cited for illegally entering the road.11:30 p.m. Saturday — An unknown vehicle struck a car in the rear and drove away after the crash on Route 422 in Connoquenessing Township. Police did not identify the driver of the car that was hit. The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a gray Pontiac, with suspected front end damage.11:13 p.m. Saturday — Six handguns were stolen in a burglary at Sportsman's Supply on Route 356 in Summit Township. Police said the unknown burglar entered the store by pushing in a room air conditioner.1:08 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jamie Smith 27, of Bruin collided with a state police cruiser driven by Trooper Mark Hoehn at Route 8 and Unionville Road in Center Township. Police said Smith faces charges for a flashing signal violation and driving without a license.5:10 p.m. Friday — Richard Todd Locke, 35, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Denise Anderson, 40, at the couple's Beacon Lane home in Center Township. Locke was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bond.Friday — A 100-cc mini bike, tool box with assorted hand tools, circular saw and an air compressor were stolen between noon Wednesday and 5 p.m. Friday in a burglary at the Keister House Road home of Ronald Fleeger in Slippery Rock Township. The stolen property is valued at $1,580.7:15 a.m. Thursday — Anthony Persichini, 38, of Butler was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving crashed on railroad tracks on Carbon Center Road in Summit Township. Police said Persichini, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries.
5:50 a.m. Friday — Someone damaged a 1988 Harley Davidson FLHS by pushing it while it was parked outside a home at 9515 Route 68, Rimersburg. The motorcycle belongs to Richard Weiss, 37, of Rimersburg.
1:05 p.m. Saturday — Edward Gallagher, 21, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, was cited for retail theft after he allegedly pumped $147.94 of gasoline into his Ford truck and drove off without paying for the fuel at the County Fair store on South Center Street in Springfield Township.12:05 a.m. June 29 — Charlene L. Bergbigler, 37, of Butler and a child were injured when a vehicle Bergbigler was driving crashed into an embankment and rolled over twice on Interstate 79 in Lake Township. Bergbigler and the child, who police did not identify, were taken to Grove City Medical Center. Their conditions were not known this morning.
