The road to perdition has many paths. Ford, with the help of our tax dollars, has agreed to do a partnership with China to build a battery assembly plant in Michigan. Last August, Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act.

China had to be laughing all the way to bank. Ford will get tax credits by assembling Chinese batteries, and both China and Ford will be seen as leaders to build a world void of fossil fuels.

Meanwhile, no provisions have been made to build new power plants or rebuild our electrical power grids. Solar panels and windmills are not the end-all to our power needs.

Our economy sits at the precipice of a long recession, and we’re making deals with America’s most dangerous adversary. We have loaded one round, spun the chamber, and our finger is on the trigger of a self-induced national disaster.
