Despite 19 points from Allen Grimes and 16 more courtesy of Elijah Adams, Summit Academy dropped a 57-52 WPIAL Class 1A boys basketball first-round playoff to host Rochester on Friday.

The Knights (10-8) led by three points at the end of the first quarter, but were outscored 21-12 over the ensuing eight minutes.

Adams’ night included four 3-pointers. Jerome Mullins paced the Rams (11-12) with 19 points.
