Five Butler Junior High wrestlers picked up pins Wednesday in a 69-25 dual match victory over Pine-Richland.

Winning via pin for the Golden Tornado were Kelley Schaukowitsch at 90 pounds, Mickey Kreinbucher at 122, Cade Savochka at 145, Cole Slezak at 165 and Greg Schultz at 250. Slezak was named outstanding wrestler of the match.

Tyler Soldati won by a 7-1 decision at 210 pounds for Butler.

The Tornado host Seneca Valley on Wednesday, Freedom on Friday, then travel to the Eric Witherite Memorial Tournament in Erie next Saturday.

Boys Basketball

The Butler seventh grade Gold team defeated Knoch, 27-13, recently. Kaden Blatt had eight points and two assists, Keegan Bracken six points and three rebounds, Ben Miller six points and four rebounds.

Butler is 2-0 on the season.
