Robert T. Woolslayer
Robert T. Woolslayer, 89, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at Allegheny Valley Hospital after a courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Born Nov. 11, 1926, in Brackenridge, Pa., he was the son of George Woolslayer and Ethel Householder Woolslayer, he was the youngest of 10 siblings.
Bob had worked as a head repairman for Allegheny Ludlum, retiring after 46 years.
Before his illness, he was an active member of the Cabot United Methodist Church, where he was usher for many years.
He was known for keeping his yard perfect. He took pride in how it looked.
Bob was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Annette Reith Woolslayer, whom he married on March 14, 1950; one daughter, Linda Curtis of Butler; two sons, Bob (Patricia) Woolslayer of Plano, Texas, and Mark Woolslayer of Irving, Texas; his sister, Margaret Jezik of Brackenridge; two granddaughters, Lori (Jeff) Wheeler of Butler and Jessica Luna of Plano, Texas; four great grandchildren, Alex, Payton, Cade and Isaiah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
WOOLSLAYER — Friends of Robert T. Woolslayer, who died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason McQueen officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
