12:07 p.m. Sunday — Courtney Hoover, 26, of Butler reported someone broke her vehicle's passenger side mirror while it was parked outside her residence at 572 N. Elm St. overnight.5:05 p.m. Saturday — Cody Lee Reynolds, 22, who has no known address, was charged with harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief after allegedly breaking a dining room window of his mother's residence at 419 W. Brady St. Janie Reynolds told police her son broke the window after she refused to let him inside when he claimed to have overdosed. Police found Cody Reynolds when he later returned to the house. He admitted having a syringe. He agreed to seek medical treatment.12:37 p.m. Saturday — Shawn Fleming, 45, of Butler reported a rock breaking the window of the rear entrance door of his residence at 516 Virginia Ave.Saturday — David Matson, 32, of Chicora was charged with theft by deception after allegedly borrowing $25 from Vicki Hodgson, 58, on Dec. 8 under the pretense he needed money for a tow as his car broke down while he was taking his children shopping. Learning Matson allegedly borrowed money from others under false pretenses, Hodgson called police.10:51 p.m. Friday — Edward E. Scott Jr., 29, of Butler was charged with simple assault after allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Tricia Smith, 25, at their residence at 128½ Zeigler Ave. Scott is accused of hitting and grabbing Smith during a fight over money. Police found him at the Donut Connection on Center Avenue. Scott, who already was on probation, posted a $1,000 cash bond and was released Saturday from Butler County Prison.2:21 a.m. Dec. 5 — Christopher Cicco, 36, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles after allegedly hitting a parked vehicle owned by Joseph Smith of Butler on West Cunningham Street.
4:25 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jaymie Trower, 20, of Pittsburgh hit a large boulder that rolled onto Route 28 in O'Hara Township. The driver and her passengers were not injured.6:30 p.m. Saturday — Raymond Downing, 61, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 308 in Center Township.Saturday — Police are investigating the theft of a diagnostic computer and several tools from Dale's Garage on Eau Claire Road in Harrisville which occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The thief kicked in the front door of the garage. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Brittany Plaisted, 22, of East Butler reported $395 stolen from her bank account by access device fraud, which occurred between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Police are investigating.12:37 a.m. Saturday — Brian Todd Welch, 31, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a Schedule 1 drug and driving without a license following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Center Township. After police pulled Welch over for a burned out headlight, they discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from Butler. Police reported finding two syringes and a metal spoon during a search of the vehicle. Welch was released Saturday from Butler County Prison after posting a $50,000 bond.4:47 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Tracey Kline, 36, of Freeport and a car driven by Ashley Powell, 18, of Cabot collided at the intersection of Route 356 and Neupert Road.3:13 p.m. Friday — Jessica Kidd, 27, of East Butler was nearly hit when someone fired a pellet gun through the window of her East Butler residence on Old East Butler Road. The estimated damage is $100. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.2:35 a.m. Friday — James E. Bailey Jr., 30, of Mentor, Ohio, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Butler Township.3:10 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Joseph Wiles, 40, of Petrolia struck a pole, gas meter and shrubs off Oneida Valley Road in Washington Township. He was taken by private vehicle to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.11:45 p.m. Wednesday — A 15-year-old boy was charged with theft after allegedly stealing Linda Campbell's vehicle out of her driveway on Morris Road in Washington Township.
