Ritzert 60th anniversary
Herbert and Mary Ritzert of Chicora celebrated 60 years of marriage with a dinner and an open house at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church.
The former Mary Oesterling married Ritzert Jan. 30, 1947, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have 10 children, Joan Spaulding of Mars; David "Pete" Ritzert of Emlenton; Judith Rathfon of Butler; Raymond Ritzert of Depoe Bay, Ore.; Donald Ritzert of Missouri; and Gary Ritzert, Rosemary McGrady, Norman Ritzert, Elaine Burns and Patrick Ritzert, all of Chicora.
They also have 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Ritzert is retired from T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil. He is a member of the VFWand American Legion, both in Chicora.
Mrs. Ritzert is a homemaker.
The couple belongs to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, where Mrs. Ritzert belongs to the Christian Mothers.
