Viola May Otto
Viola May Otto, 99, of College View Towers, Grove City, formerly of Clarion County and Petrolia, passed away at 4 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Living Center, Grove City.
She was born in Toby Township, Clarion County, Aug. 10, 1910, and was a daughter of the late Edward William Morrow Rankin and Florence Belle Pittman Rankin.
She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Mercer County and was educated at Independence Elementary School in Clarion County.
She married Edward A. Otto on March 19, 1960, in Winchester, S.C., and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1983.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lena Terwilliger of Minerva, Ohio, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband were three brothers, Harold, Harvey and Howard Rankin; and five sisters, Edna Klugh, Lois Swarm, Myrtle Ritchey, Anna Slaugenhaupt and Marie Hile.
