Police: 78 bricks of heroin, cocaine found in Mars home
Police said 78 bricks of heroin and 37 grams of crack cocaine were found in a Mars home last week, resulting in charges for two people.
On Friday, the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General charged Tierra J. Brady, 27, and Daniel C. Oliverio, 26, with five counts of felony drug sales and four misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia each.
Brady and Oliverio were placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail and $100,000 bail, respectively.
Narcotics agents from the attorney general’s office obtained a search warrant for a Gray Lane residence in Mars, executing it at 8:15 a.m. Friday with the assistance of Adams Township police.
Once inside, police said Oliverio was located in the kitchen, along with a Pyrex measuring cup, mixing spoon and two plates containing a suspected cocaine base.
About 37 grams of crack cocaine were found in the living room on a coffee table, police said. In the fireplace, 43 bricks of heroin were discovered in a burnt box. A brick is 50 stamp bags.
An additional 35 bricks of heroin and $4,335 were found in a lock box on the couch, according to documents.
Police said a digital scale with cocaine residue also was discovered in the home.
Brady and Oliverio will appear for preliminary hearings Feb. 14 before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz.
