1:40 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Matthew Waldron, 38, of Templeton, Armstrong County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Wayne Fazzino, 36, of Butler collided at Hansen and Goldwood avenues,.11:45 a.m. Thursday — One person was injured when a Butler Transit Authority bus and car collided at East Diamond and McKean streets.Robert Freemon, 83, of Butler, who was driving the car, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Sherridyn Pistorius, 47, of Chicora was driving the bus. There were no passengers in either vehicle.10:55 a.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Kristen Graham, 27, and Sherry Kissinger, 61, both of Butler, collided at West Brady Street and Wilson Avenue.
2:15 p.m. Wednesday — Kyria Crawford, 20, and Benjamin Stiffler, 27, were arrested following a domestic dispute at their Old Plank Estates home. Crawford and Stiffler were arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison.1:57 p.m. Wednesday — Melissa A. Weaver, 26, of Slippery Rock is accused of allegedly shoplifting guitar string, picks and polish at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. She is charged with retail theft.
Thursday — A Guardian alarm remote was found at Hunter Farm Park near the bicycle trail. The owner can claim the property at the police station at 337 E. Pine Street.Wednesday — Mark Testa, 29, of Cleveland was cited with scattering rubbish for allegedly dumping several hundred telephone phone books at various locations in the borough. He also was cited for driving with a suspended license.
6:48 a.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Justin S. Grossman, 20, of Slippery Rock crashed and rolled on its side on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township.Tuesday — Police filed theft and attempted theft charges against Brian E. Mershimer, 32, of Butler after he was allegedly caught loading copper pieces into his vehicle at a garage facility on Claytonia Road in Clay Township at about 3 a.m. Saturday.
8:30 p.m. Wednesday — Robin Lynn Bauder, 49, allegedly assaulted his wife, Cathy Ann Bauder, 50, during a domestic dispute at their Fairview School Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Robin Bauder is charged with simple assault and harassment; his wife suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Jan. 4 — Joanne Knauff of Cranberry Township about 7 a.m. allegedly broke into a house on Center Street in Harmony, which was occupied at the time, and took a purse and its contents.Police said Knauff, 39, on Jan. 7 admitted to the crime and was arraigned on charges of burglary, trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.A preliminary hearing for Knauff, who is free on her own recognizance, is 1:35 p.m. Wednesday at the officer of District Judge Wayne Seibel.
