Reese M. Hassinger
Reese M Hassinger, 83, of Gibsonia died Monday at the Tandem Health Center of Cheswick, Allegheny County, after a long illness.
Born Aug. 18, 1923, in Glenshaw, he was the son of Mathew C. Hassinger and Edna L. Reese.
He was a Presbyterian.
Mr. Hassinger was an Army veteran of World War II and served in Normandy.
He had worked at the Spang Tube Mill in Etna.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Barbara) Thompson of Butler; three sons, Arthur Hassinger of Stewartstown, York County, Dale Hassinger of Prospect and Glen Hassinger of Gibsonia; a sister, Nancy Cataldo of Gibsonia; and a brother, Robert Hassinger of Ellwood City.
He also is survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
His wife, Margretta K. Hugus Hassinger, whom he married Jan. 20, 1951, died Sept. 24, 1997. A daughter and a grandson also preceded him in death.
<B>HASSINGER</B> — There will be no visitation. Burial for Reese M. Hassinger, who died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, Prospect.
