Elizabeth Ann Jarbeck
Elizabeth Ann (Thornton) Jarbeck, 71, of Butler, died Wednesday at Sunnyview Home in Butler.
Mrs. Jarbeck was born Oct. 25, 1936, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late George Henry and Carrie (Edds) Thornton.
She was married to Bernard E. Jarbeck, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jarbeck was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She loved animals and enjoyed crocheting.
She was a member of the St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church of Delancey and attended the St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church of Meridian.
Surviving relatives include four daughters, Carol Kemp and husband, Edward, of Rochester Mills, Delores Ravas of Butler, Virginia Fischer and husband, James, of Butler and Mary Mallon and husband, John, of Erie; a son, Ed and Denise Davis of Butler; a sister, Carolyn Collins of West Virginia; a brother, Gilbert Thornton of Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley E. and Crystal Davis of Carnegie, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher and Cindy Davis of El Paso, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Justin A. and Laurie (Kemp) Mauk of Savannah, Ga., Angela Ravas of Butler, TJ Mallon of Erie, Lacey Kemp of Rochester Mills, Samantha Mallon of Erie, Alex Ravas of Butler, Shawn Mallon of Erie, Leah Fischer of Butler, Ryan Fischer of Butler; and six great-grandchildren, Kylie Vising, Audrey-Anna Mauk, Carson Davis, Payton Davis, Vanessa Davis and Ava Davis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Deral Chrildress, Mildred Toney and Dodie Lewis; and a brother, Fredrick Thornton.
<B>JARBECK</B> — Friends of Elizabeth Ann (Thornton) Jarbeck, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Pifer Funeral Home Inc.</B>, Punxsutawney. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church of Delancey. Interment will follow at Anita-Adrian Roman Catholic Cemetery.
