2:40 a.m. Thursday — Police arrested Bret Andrew Snyder, 24, of Butler for following his girlfriend to her mother's house after officers warned him to stay away from her less than an hour earlier.A 911 hangup call at 1:52 a.m. had initially sent officers to the Fairview Avenue apartment of Snyder and 24-year-old Emerald Adamik. Outside the home, police found the couple, who had been arguing.Adamik told police she did not want to stay with Snyder and was going to her mother's home on North Washington Street. Officers told the defendant not to contact his girlfriend.Soon after, however, officers were called to the North Washington Street home, where they found Snyder.Snyder was arraigned on charges of stalking, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and placed in the butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.8:38 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Tracy Gene Morgan, 37, of Butler Township struck the rear of a pickup at East Jefferson and Main streets. Police said Morgan drove away after the crash. Kevin Mottern, 50, of Butler was driving the pickup.

9:19 a.m. Wednesday — Elizabeth Ann Quick, 47, of Wellsville, Ohio, was arrested for driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle struck a UPStruck at Whitestown and South Duffy roads. Dennis Miller, no age given, of Butler was driving the truck.1:37 p.m. Tuesday — Michael Eric Webb, 40, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a Butler Commons store. Webb is charged with retail theft.3:02 p.m. Monday — Three boys are accused of firing BBguns at a vehicle in the Butler High School parking lot. The boys, who police did not identify, face charges of disorderly conduct.

Thursday — A .22-caliber Rossi rifle and a cell phone were stolen from a vehicle on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. Ruby McNichol of Portersville owns the items taken between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday.10:53 p.m. Wednesday — Aminivan driven by Clifford F. Brown, 61, of Mercer struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.8:46 a.m. Wednesday — An Ohio man was arrested after he was seen allegedly breaking a car window and stealing stereo speakers and amplifiers from the vehicle at the Park and Ride lot at Route 488 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Matthew Mark Mancuso, 25, of Youngstown is charged with theft from a vehicle and criminal mischief in the case. John R. Egan of Mercer owns the vehicle that was broken into.Wednesday — Tools were stolen from a machine shed between Sept. 1 and Wednesday at the Eau Claire Road home of Gordon Taylor in Marion Township.6:36 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup driven by William D. Lentz, 45, of Freedom, Beaver County, struck an embankment and rolled over on I-79 in Worth Township. Lentz was cited for a lane violation.Tuesday — A Phillips six-disc compact disc changer was stolen from an Ivy Lane apartment in Slippery Rock Township. Katelyn Walker of Slippery Rock owns the property stolen between Dec. 12 and Tuesday.

3:10 a.m. Thursday — Joshua Grafton, 19, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 at Exit 17 in North Buffalo Township.
