CENTER TWP — An autopsy on a body that was found at 8 a.m. Friday off Glenwood Way near Route 38 could not determine the man’s cause of death, Butler County Coroner William Young said this morning.

Young said the man, who was found dressed and was apparently dropped there with no visible injuries, suffered from other medical conditions that made it impossible for the autopsy, which was performed on Saturday, to conclusively determine his cause of death.

Young said Jason Day, the man found, was about 40 years old and from Center Township.

Young said his office is waiting on toxicology reports and blood work that would likely take more than two weeks to complete.

“It’ll be at least a couple of weeks before I find anything out,” he said.

Deloris Sarver, who lives in a nearby house off Route 38, said this kind of incident is a first for that area.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard about it (happening), and I’ve been here for over 50 years,” she said.

A state police report was not available, and a member of the crime unit at the PSP’s Butler Barracks did not return a message this morning.
