12:28 p.m. Monday — Acar driven by Jean Grohman, 70, of Butler struck a mailbox along Filbert Road.
2:03 a.m. today — Debra Lee McDermott, 52, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Hannahstown Road and Route 356 in Jefferson Township.10:45 p.m. Tuesday — About 20 pieces of 10-foot rebar were reported stolen from Etzel Masonry on Herman Road in Summit Township.Monday — Vandals between 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday spray-painted a two-sided billboard along the 800 block of Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Damage was estimated at $1,500.The billboard owner,America First Enterprises of Butler, is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who are responsible for the damage.Monday — APepsi machine along Route 422 East in Clearfield Township was vandalized between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday. Damage was estimated at $300.7:45 p.m. Sunday — David Wayne Kurtz, 45, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Routes 422 and 68 in Summit Township.6 a.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Kwintin, Hall, 22, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, crashed into a tree along Cheeseman Road in Muddy Creek Township. Hall is accused of leaving the scene of the crash and not reporting the wreck to authorities.Police said Hall was cited for driving too fast for conditions and failing to immediately notify police of an accident.1 a.m. Saturday — Pete Mullen, 44, ofMars was arrested for suspicion of DUI at West Jefferson and Cunningham streets in Butler.12:11 a.m. July 16 — Eric S. Snow, 20, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Lake Road in Oakland Township.July 10 — Amotorcycle reportedly stolen sometime since April was found abandoned on Ash Stop Road in Forward Township. Owner Tara Lynn Getty of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, told police her cycle was taken from a storage shed on Spring Valley Road in Connoquenessing Township.July 9 — An unspecified number of rings were reportedly taken between July 6 and 9 from the Hooker Road home of Brandon Reep and Nichole Boling in Concord Township.
12:45 p.m. Monday — Wade Allen McIntyre, 28, of Templeton is accused of trying to ram his vehicle into another vehicle at Birch Haven Road and Route 422 in Manor Township.Police said McIntyre was traveling with a 9-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, both of Templeton, when he forced the other vehicle, occupied by Carly J. Cowan, 25, of Kittanning, and Chastity Priester, 27, of Templeton, off the road and then tried to ram it in a parking area.McIntyre got out of his vehicle and began shouting obscenities as he approached the other vehicle, according to a police report. He picked up Cowan's cell phone and threw it, and he also allegedly grabbed her face and hair,McIntyre is charged with four counts each of reckless endangerment and harassment, three counts of disorderly conduct, reckless driving, a yield sign violation, disregarding traffic lanes and making an improper turn. He is free on $5,000 bail.6:49 a.m. Monday — Ronald Barker, 61, of New Bethlehem was injured when his motorcycle crashed on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township. Barker, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police said he was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Sunday — Nine long guns were stolen in a burglary between 7 a.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday at the Dewey Road home of Harvey Adams in Perry Township.Police said the unknown burglar kicked in the front door and then smashed out the glass of one gun cabinet. Taken from that cabinet was a Marlin 30-30 rifle, Winchester 30-30 rifle, .243-caliber bolt-action rifle, .223-caliber rifle, Remington .35-caliber pump rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun.Asecond cabinet also was broken into. Taken were two .22-caliber rifles, a Fox 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun, and a 30-gauge shotgun.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police at 724-543-2011.12:05 a.m. July 12—Shaun D. Sheakley, 29, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a state Fish and Boat Commission officer stopped him in the Bradys Bend access area off Seybertown Road in Bradys Bend Township.
