Butler’s junior varsity baseball team plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Gateway, 8-7, on Tuesday.

Mattix Clement doubled and scored two runs, Tyler Rekich had three hits and drove in two runs and Colin Patterson two hits and one run batted in.

Colin Gallagher struck out two in 2 1/3 innings pitched and added a double at the plate while Hayden Thompson earned the win.
