Ella L. Nolker
Ella L. (Keller) Nolker, 75, of Mars, formerly of West Deer Township, died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant.
She was born July 22, 1934, in Clinton Township and has lived in Mars for more than four years. She previously lived in West Deer Township for more than 30 years.
Ella was a 1952 graduate of Winfield-Clinton High School.
She was a line supervisor for MEDRAD in Indianola for more than 12 years and was a former member of the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene.
She was a life member of the Owls Club of Russellton and a social member of the American Legion in West Deer.
Ella was active in the Mars Senior Center as a volunteer and greeter. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, baking, embroidery and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula L. (Clarence) Preston of Mars; sisters, Alice Sopcak of Lower Burrell, Norma Moore of Brackenridge and Sharon (Jack) Howard of Saxonburg; her brother, James L. Keller of Emlenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul W. Baksay; her second husband, Richard E. Nolker; her parents, Admiral "Dewey" and Nellie (Coville) Keller; sisters, Betty Bartak, Dorothy Bartak, Audrey Anderson and Elsie Huff; and brothers, Harry, Robert "Buck" and Jerry Keller.
<B>NOLKER</B> — The family of Ella L. (Keller) Nolker, who died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the <B>SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME</B>, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev.
