CRANBERRY TWP — North Catholic’s girls basketball team continued its domination of Section 1-4A Monday night with a 61-17 triumph over Derry Area.

The Trojanettes (7-3, 3-0) have won four of their last five games and have on their first three section games by an average margin of 33 points. They led 38-12 at halftime Monday before shutting Derry out in the third quarter.

Alayna Rocco led North with 17 points, hitting five of six shots from 3-point range. Ava Walker added 13 points and Anna Waskiewicz 10.

Jane Huss led Derry (8-5) with nine points.

North Catholic stays in section play Thursday night, traveling to Greensburg Salem.
