John "Jack" H. Reynolds, 81, of Aspen Ridge Drive, Portersville, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday in the St. Johns Lutheran Care Center in Mars.

Born Jan. 31, 1929, in Mauston, Wis., he was the son of the late James Reynolds and Eunice Wood Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was a welder by trade and a postal carrier for the United States Post Office, from where he retired. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Cortez, Colo. He was a life member of the V.F.W.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska, and was on Utah Beach during the Normandy Invasion. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a loadmaster.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Geraldine Arblaster St. Clair Reynolds; three stepdaughters, Constance "Lucy" Cantgbe and her husband, Wells, of Albuquerque, N.M., Cheryl Mager and her husband, Daniel, of Portersville, and Cathy Uniatowski and her husband, Michael, of Butler; seven stepgrandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by a step-great-grandson and a brother.
