4:03 p.m. Wednesday — Kevin Michael Miller, 27, of Butler is accused of attacking another man with a wooden baseball bat during an altercation at a First Street home.Police said Sean Smith was at the house, which is the home to his girlfriend's aunt. Miller allegedly came after Smith, swinging the bat and hitting Smith in the left forearm, according to court documents.Smith suffered redness and pain in the forearm area, police said. Police charged Miler with aggravated assault.

1:45 p.m. Wednesday — Larry E. Arblaster, 35, of Slippery Rock was arrested after he showed up at Nancy Arblaster's home on Debbie Avenue in Slippery Rock Township and would not leave.Arblaster also damaged a shelving unit and ceiling tile in the home's basement, according to court documents, which did not report the relationship between the suspect and homeowner.The defendant later allegedly threatened to punch Trooper Mark Hoehn, after police were called, and then walked into the woods behind the house.When Arblaster returned to the house, documents said, he shouted obscenities at two troopers. Police said the suspect was told to leave the home but refused.He was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, resisting arrest, trespass, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.Following arraignment, Arblaster was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Wednesday — An unknown burglar rifled through filing cabinets after breaking into the Wheels of Work auto repair garage on Route 68 in Forward Township.Wheels of Work is a nonprofit program operated by the Lighthouse Foundation charity.A police news release did not say if anything was taken in the burglary between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.Tuesday — Matthew J. Locke, 30, of Mercer faces felony and other charges after he allegedly forged two checks and bounced two other checks to buy pizza in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Locke on June 6 and July 8 passed two checks, written on his closed account, at Fox's Pizza Den on Route 173.On July 18 and 21, he went back to Fox's and bought pizza with two checks owned by his cousin, according to court documents. Police said Locke signed his cousin's name and passed the checks off as his own.Locke is charged with two counts each of forgery and bad checks.7:40 p.m. July 14 — A pickup truck driven by Ronald J. Grimm, 30, of Cranberry Township struck a fence and utility pole along Route 340 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Grimm was cited for careless driving.

3:25 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Matthew B. Williamson, 17, of Kittanning and a minivan driven by Timothy R. Grafton, 71, of Worthington collided at Sisterville and Toy roads in North Buffalo Township. Police said Williamson, who was treated at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning for minor injuries, was cited for a stop sign violation.
