M. Dean Donaldson, 73, of Evans City passed away Sunday evening in UPMC Passavant Cranberry.

Born March 21, 1936, in Evans City he was the son of the late T. Martin and Blanche L. Nicklas Donaldson.

Mr. Donaldson was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Evans City.

He worked for Evans City Borough for 44 years, retiring in 1999.

He loved to bowl and hunt. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR and Pirates fan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a great-grandson, Austin Dean Flint.

Surviving are his wife, Betty M. Heckard Donaldson, who he married Nov. 17, 1955; two daughters, Cheryl (Daniel) Flint of Renfrew and Beverly (Douglas) Watson of Rimersburg; a brother, Thomas "Bud" (Lucille) Donaldson of Evans City; four grandchildren, Missy (Mark) Powell, Nikki (Joseph) Forsythe, Deanna (Bobby) Bauman and Dougie Watson; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Powell and Makenzie Forsythe,

<B>DONALDSON</B> — Friends and relatives of M. Dean Donaldson, who died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Park, his pastor, officiating.
