An article in the Dec. 14 Eagle says the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is behind on its goals ... of course, it’s the economy. I have only heard good things about the Army and their efforts around Butler.

Butler is a caring, great community. We can help them reach their goal in a few days if everyone puts in one dollar. We will not miss it, and the needy kids will have food and a present or two. I will lead off the renewed effort with a $100 donation today. We can do this together!
