Nostalgic memories of Clearview Mall

To happy holidays and happy nostalgic memories … of the Clearview Mall!

I went to the Clearview Mall yesterday to finish buying a few things at the “sadly” remaining stores, to which I am happy remain open. Walking through the hallways, I had flashbacks of when the mall first opened. What a great feeling it was, knowing the mall was in Butler, especially “north” of the city.

Back then, there was happiness, stores open, music playing, people and children laughing, walking through the mall in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Crafters set up in the middle! Holiday decorations which boosted people’s spirits. What a wonderful, warming experience it would be should we have stores active and open again, with the smell of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels or freshly brewed coffee.

Oh, how I wish someone would put their hearts into a mall renovation to keep people in Butler, over driving to Cranberry, Ross Park or Grove City. It would be wonderful to see that again, especially since there are no stores in the vicinity north of Butler!

To whoever might own the property of the Clearview Mall, please consider a new mall concept, stores to keep people coming back, especially with the cost of everything, and saving gas.

Happy holidays!
