Anthony J. “Tony” Pignatelli
Anthony J. “Tony” Pignatelli, 54, of Buffalo Township passed away on Sunday while in the company of his family at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Tony was born in Richboro, Pa. on June 7, 1963, a son of Ann Marie (DeLibero) and Anthony Pignatelli, of North Wales, Pa.
Tony was a 1981 graduate of Council Rock High School in Newtown, Pa.
After high school, Tony attended Lincoln Technical Institute. He was employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator with the Swank Construction Company.
As a young man, Tony began running equipment for his father's excavating company. Tony also had worked for a number of years for Sarver True Value Hardware.
He was a member of Mount St. Peter Church in New Kensington.
Tony was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He had been a member of the White Star Fraternal Society in Buffalo Township.
Tony was a jack of all trades. He had built his own home, fixed all kinds of things for family, friends and neighbors. If anyone ever needed a tool to borrow, Tony was the guy people called.
He enjoyed his family trips to the beach and to Disney World. Tony loved to have family and friends to his home for parties on his back deck where he enjoyed deep frying chicken wings for everyone. Tony was a great family man.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa A. (Costanza) Pignatelli; his daughter, Alexa R. Pignatelli of Columbus, Ohio; and his son, Anthony J. Pignatelli of Buffalo Township; his sisters, Kathleen and Ronald Staszak of New Hope, Pa., and Susan and David Roller of North Wales, Pa.
Anthony is also survived by his mother- in-law, Rose P. Costanza; his brothers-in-law, Joseph Costanza of Pitman, N.J., and Anthony (Lisa) Costanza of Chambersburg, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Rose (Ronald) Kobelenske of Buffalo Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joseph M. Costanza.
PIGNATELLI — Family and friends of Anthony J. “Tony” Pignatelli, who died Sunday, April 15, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Everyone is invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian burial that will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount St. Peter Church in New Kensington with Monsignor Michael J.
