Dorothy Mitchell of Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I, Jefferson Township, formerly of North Apollo, celebrated her 95th birthday recently.

The former Dorothy Bradley was born June 3, 1913, in Pittsburgh. She married John Mitchell at St. Ursula Church in Allison Park on March 4, 1935. He is deceased.

She has two children, James Mitchell of Brooksville, Fla.; and Marilyn Stull of Vandergrift. She also has seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

Mitchell has lived at Concordia for four years. She retired from J.C. Penney in 1978 but has also taught dance most of her life, something she still does today at the Havens. She is a member at St. James Church in Apollo and enjoys piano, sewing and reading in her spare time.
