8:12 a.m. Friday — Kacey R.L. Culbertson, 29, of Rimersburg was charged with theft of leased property and theft of services after he allegedly rented an 8-foot aluminum brake, valued at $1,182, from Kenmac Rentals on April 27, then failed to return it despite numerous requests.6:53 p.m. Tuesday — Travis Shane Bruno, 24, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly hit his girlfriend in the head with a remote control during an argument at his State Street apartment.

7:50 p.m. Thursday — Charles Callen, 30, of Tarentum and Terrance Cicello, 35, of Natrona Heights each were charged with retail theft and several drug offenses after they allegedly tried to take items from Wal-Mart without paying.

Friday — John F. Romeo, 41, of Grove City was charged with bad checks after he allegedly wrote an insufficient funds check to the borough.6:45 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole a 42-inch flat screen TV and stand, valued at a total of $1,700 that belongs to Larry Seelbaugh of Grove City, from a residence on Highland Avenue. Any one with information should call police at 724-458-7925.Dec. 31 — Someone stole three rifles and two necklaces belonging to Bruce Fabian of Grove City from a residence on Madison Avenue between Nov. 3 and Dec. 31. Anyone with information should call police at 724-458-7925.

4 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole three bottles of cologne valued at $202 from the Boscov's store in Clearview Mall, Center Township.10 a.m. Jan. 3 — A car driven by Tomi L. Eck, 23, of Butler crashed into a tree on Wilson Street in Prospect. Eck, who was not injured, was cited for driving under suspension.Dec. 30 — Someone stole a green 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the lot at Mt. Chestnut Auto Sales on Route 422 in Butler Township between Dec. 29 and Dec. 30. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.

Friday — A tractor trailer driven by Craig Bender, 27, of Butler, a pickup truck driven by Franklin Sweeney, 65, of Kittanning, a car driven by Clifford Nolder, 78, of Kittanning, a SUV driven by Debra Niemeier, 60, of Rural Valley, and a car driven by Kenneth McGaughey, 54, of Dayton, Pa., collided at the intersection of Routes 66 and 85 in Rayburn Township, Armstrong County. Sweeney was taken by ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. The other four drivers, as well as Kenneth McGaughey's passenger Thelma McGaughey, 77, of Dayton, Pa., were not injured.
