These items have been collected from various police departments.

Thursday — A woman reported someone overnight broke into her unlocked vehicle at her Brown Avenue home and stole a small amount of change. A decorative light near her garage also was stolen. Police said the total loss was $13.

Thursday — Police charged Stanley E. Fair, 35, of Butler with driving under the influence of a controlled substance in connection with a July 31 traffic stop. He also is charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving without headlights on.

6:29 p.m. Wednesday — Rand Roxby, 46, of Valencia was injured when he crashed his motorcycle after swerving to avoid another vehicle that was changing lanes on Route 19 south near the Pennsylvania Turnpike on-ramp.Roxby suffered a possible torn ligament in his shoulder, police said. He was treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry and released.

5:10 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher Basham, 27, faces drug charges and Kayla Faith, 23, faces assault charges after police were called to their North Broad Street home for a reported domestic dispute.Officers said while speaking to both residents, they found Basham with suspected heroin. He was arraigned on charges of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and simple assault. He is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.Police on Wednesday charged Faith with simple assault.9:20 p.m. Aug. 12 — About $65 in currency and other unspecified items were stolen in a burglary at Oesterlings Feed and Farm Supply on Erie Street. A police news release did not indicate if they have a suspect; however, the burglar is described as a white maleAnyone with information about the break-in is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

5:15 p.m. Thursday — A Kittanning woman reported that her purse was stolen while she was at the Clearview Mall food court in Center Township. The purse and its contents are valued at $214.

3 p.m. Thursday — A hitchhiker told police he was attacked and robbed by two men on Babel Road in South Buffalo Township.The 18-year-old Westmoreland County man said he got a ride from the suspects, who assaulted him a short time later as he got out of their vehicle. The teenager said he was robbed of between $200 and $300.The unknown suspects are described as white men between 25 and 30 years old. One of the men was about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and the other was about 6 feet, 5 inches tall.The suspects' vehicle was a white sport utility vehicle with a broken windshield.Anyone with information bout the case is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.

Wednesday — An unknown thief stole a yellow and black, 2005 Honda all-terrain vehicle from a home on Perrine Road in Wolf Creek Township. The theft happened between Monday and Wednesday.Tuesday — An unspecified amount of money was stolen from a home on Morris Road in Madison Township. The theft happened between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.Tuesday — Someone overnight broke into a sport utility vehicle on Lawsonham Road in Madison Township and stole unspecified items.
