William Lee Jesteadt

William Lee Jesteadt, 66, of Butler passed away surrounded by family at home Saturday after an illness.

He was born on Aug. 8, 1948, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of Paul Andrew Jesteadt and Mary Grindel Jesteadt Hudak.

He was the owner of Ghost Riders in Butler and had worked as a welder for Mine Safety Appliances. He also was self-employed in the construction business.

He was Catholic by faith.

A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, he was an avid hunter.

He was a member of the Moose Club in Butler and belonged to bowling leagues for the Elks Club and for Magnetics. He was also a member of Rock Ann Haven's Pool League.

Survivors include his son, Michael (Christine) Jesteadt of Prospect; his daughter, Timmi Sue (Scott) Longdon of Renfrew; his three brothers, Robert (Janet) Jesteadt of Prospect, Paul (Tonya) Jesteadt of Virginia and Gene (Mary) Jesteadt of Missouri; and his five grandchildren Blake, Adam, Dylan, Jacob and Reba.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Jesteadt.

Jesteadt— Visitation for William Lee Jesteadt, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday from the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the St. Christopher At The Lake Catholic Church, 232 N. Franklin St., Prospect. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Butler.Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Bill's life at 1 p.m. Thursday following the funeral at Ghost Riders, Route 8 North, Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prospect Boys and Girls Club.
