Thomas L. DeHart
Thomas L. DeHart, 70, of Mariasville, near Emlenton, passed away suddenly of natural causes Thursday morning at his residence.
Born in West Monterey on March 30, 1938, he was the son of the late Harry Elijah and Lula Belle Bartley DeHart.
He was a graduate of the former Parker High School and served stateside in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Tom was a longtime employee of Penn Power in New Castle, from where he retired. He later became a driver for FRB Machine of Emlenton, where he was employed at the time of his passing.
He was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church in Perry Township, Clarion County.
Mr. DeHart enjoyed his family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and looked forward to golfing, hunting and going to casinos.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janet F. Rose; his children and their spouses, David and Donna DeHart of Waukesha, Wis., Bryan and Jill DeHart of Beaver, Brenda and Michael Motto of New Castle, Joyce and Randy Aughton of Emlenton, Gerald (Jerry) and Shari Pipher of Battlefield, Mich., and Jeff and Gail Pipher of Parker; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. He also is survived by two sisters-in-law, Charlene DeHart of Sligo and Patty DeHart of Parker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his brothers, Richard "Dick," David, "Jim" and Vernon Jerry DeHart.
