1:54 p.m. Thursday — Megan Maksin, 18, of Lyndora is accused of shoplifting $145.88 in merchandise, including clothing and cosmetics, from the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Maksin is charged with retail theft.

7:45 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown thief stole a Hewlett-Packard EliteBook 2730p laptop computer and two textbooks from the Grove City College MAP dining hall. The owner of the property, a student from Washington County, reported the theft happened between 6 and 6:30 p.m.

2:39 a.m. Thursday — James D. Sanderson, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck hit a utility pole along Route 528 in Franklin Township. Sanderson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.11:12 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by John D. Winter Jr., 26, of Mars hit the back of a pickup truck on Route 19 near Johnson Road in Muddy Creek Township. Winter, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for careless driving. Jennifer L. Jordan, 30, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, was driving the pickup.9 p.m. Monday — William J. Reges III, 57, of Petrolia is accused of throwing a computer at a 55-year-old woman during a domestic dispute at an Oneida Valley Road home in Washington Township. Police had to forcibly arrest the suspect. Reges was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and resisting arrest, and later placed in Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail.Monday — An unknown thief stole a red Craftsmen lawn mower from a Pine Ridge Drive home in Chicora. The lawn mower, valued at $241, was taken between midnight and 7 p.m.

10:10 a.m. Tuesday — A van driven by Malinda Gallie, 56, of New Wilmington struck the rear of a car at Route 208 and Irishtown Road in Pine Township. Raymond W. Smith, 20, of Harrisville, who was driving the car, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown head injuries. Gallie was cited for careless driving.
