11:47 p.m. Sept. 10 — Someone used an unlocked door to enter a home in the 200 block of West North Street, stealing several diabetic hypodermic syringes which were found in the yard, and dropping 15 audio CDs and three cloth shopping bags which did not belong to the homeowner.8:22 p.m. Sept. 7 — Michael J. Steinhiser, 33, of Cabot was charged with DUI, DUI high rate of alcohol and driving while privilege is suspended after a woman called to report a suspicious vehicle parked with the engine running near the corner of Miller Avenue and West Penn Street.
9:45 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Jerrod C. Cornelius, 21, of Volant crashed into two trees at the intersection of Black and Martin roads in Plain Grove Township. Cornelius was not injured.
7:04 p.m. Thursday — A van driven by Michelle Jones, 43, of Lyndora and an SUV driven by Alec Spinneweber, 17, of Butler collided at the intersection of Duffy and Evans City roads.Jones and a juvenile passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.1:24 a.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Stephanie Kline, 20, of Evans City and a vehicle driven by Marie Sudday, 25, of Pittsburgh collided at the intersection of Vogel and Crosslands roads. Kline suffered a minor injury.9:26 p.m. Wednesday — Kenneth Pistorius, 32, of Butler was charged with DUI and several traffic violations after he allegedly failed to move far enough left while passing a stopped emergency vehicle with its lights activated along New Castle Road.
