Man dies in crash
DONEGAL TWP — A 32-year-old man died early this morning in a rollover crash in the township.
But state police do not know for certain when the wreck on East Slippery Rock Road happened because it was not immediately discovered.
Brian Trimbur of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe the accident occurred between 3 and about 3:40 a.m.
Police said Trimbur was driving eastbound when his pickup truck went off the south side of East Slippery Rock Road. He got the truck back onto the road but immediately lost control of it.
The small Chevy pickup rolled over several times, throwing Trimbur from it. He was not wearing a seat belt.
A 911 caller at 3:41 a.m. reported seeing “someone lying in the middle of the road,” authorities said.
The caller said the victim was not breathing and was bleeding from the head.
Emergency crews said Trimbur was wearing work clothes. It appeared he worked for one of the chemical companies in the Petrolia Valley.
Butler County Coroner William Young III pronounced Trimbur dead at the scene of severe head and chest injuries. An autopsy was not planned.
Chicora volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.
Hile Funeral Home in Chicora is handling funeral arrangements.
