Evelyn (Fazzino) Toner

Toner

Evelyn (Fazzino) Toner traveled on to join her beloved husband for eternity on Oct. 4, 2008, in Las Vegas.

Born and raised in Butler to Marion and Mary (Frole) Fazzino, Mrs. Toner had been a resident of Sacramento, Calif., for the past 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sam and Tony Fazzino; and sister, Jean Cahill.

She was the devoted wife of 63 years to James "Jim" Toner; and cherished mother of Sandra Steele of Las Vegas, Geoffrey Toner of Raleigh, N.C., and Mark Toner of Sacramento. She also leaves six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Toner worked as an inspector in a Butler shell factory during World War II.

She loved golf, ceramics, travel and her pet cats.

She was a longtime member of the Sacramento McClellan Air Force Base Officers Wives Club, the Italian Society and the Elks.

Known for her feisty but gentle nature, she will be greatly missed.

<B>TONER</B> — A memorial service and interment for Evelyn (Fazzino) Toner, who died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1004 N. Main St., Butler.Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Smile Train, P.O.
