10:22 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Amber Shoaf, 31, of Butler struck a car owned by Angela Hustak, 28, also of Butler, while it was parked in the YMCA parking lot on North Washington Street before allegedly fleeing the scene. Shoaf was subsequently identified by video footage. She told police she was distracted and didn't realize her SUV hit another vehicle. Shoaf was cited for accidents involving an unattended vehicle.11:45 p.m. Thursday — David McQuistion, 63, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence-high rate of alcohol and driving under the influence-incapable of safe driving after police watched his vehicle pull up to the entrance of a Marathon gas station while it was closed. The lower of two breath samples taken by police indicated McQuistion had a blood alcohol content of 0.156 percent. The minimum DUI level is 0.08 percent.1:16 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Lisa Brogan, 40, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Thomas Fisher, 50, also of Butler, collided at the intersection of North Cedar Street and WISR Way. Brogan's vehicle then hit a stop sign and a wall. No injuries were reported.
5:15 p.m. Thursday — Angela Lascoula, 30, of Butler was charged with retail theft after allegedly leaving the Kohl's department store at Butler Crossings with 14 items worth a total of $233 that she didn't pay for.1:34 p.m. Thursday — Tyler Karch, 22, who is homeless, was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing nearly $300 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart off Route 356.10:29 a.m. Monday — Police used a Taser to bring a 17-year-old boy under control after responding to a disturbance call at Clarence C. Brown Education Center. The teen was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.State Police, Clarion7:14 a.m. Friday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Parker boy struck an embankment off Blairs Corner Road in Beaver Township. He was not injured.
2:53 p.m. Friday — A coal truck driven by John Reesman, 54, of Freeport struck the rear of a minivan driven by George Emminger III, age unavailable, of Kittanning on Route 422 in Kittanning Township. The truck then overturned onto its passenger side, losing its load of coal. Both drivers were taken to ACMH Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. The Kittanning Township, Manor Township and Elderton volunteer fire departments as well as Kittanning EMS assisted state police at the scene.
