State police are still trying to find a driver who fled the scene after his vehicle hit a bicyclist last month on East Butler Road in Summit Township.

Police say Bryan McFadden, 39, of Butler was riding his bike eastbound on the road near the intersection with Bonnie Drive at 7 a.m. on Sept. 27 when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

The driver made no attempt to render aid or call for help, police say.

A witness discovered McFadden lying in a ditch and called 911. He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh where he was treated for serious injuries, including a fractured skull, according to police.
