Saturday An unidentified white, Ford sport utility vehicle or pickup truck overnight traveled through the yard at 459 Whitestown Road. The unknown driver did not stop after the accident that caused shrub and tree damage.Friday A Garman 280 global positioning system unit, an iPod cassette adapter and Motorola cell phone charger were stolen from a car parked at the Regal Cinema at Moraine Pointe Plaza. The theft occurred between 10:10 and 11:50 p.m.Friday Several power tools were stolen from a box truck at the Lowes stores at Moraine Pointe Plaza. The theft occurred between noon and 12:20 p.m. The stolen tools included Paslode finish and framing nailers, a Milwaukee saw-all, a Bosch hammer drill and a Dewalt jig saw.8:23 p.m. Thursday Vehicles driven by Karisa Mauthe, 16, of Karns City and Raymond Bates, 65, of Portersville collided on New Castle road at the Route 422 entrance ramps.4:24 p.m. Thursday Pickup trucks driven by Steve Letoner, 78, of Hadley and Eldin Hibbs, 61, of Butler collided on Route 422 at Greenwood Drive. Letoner was cited for a stop sign violation.
Monday Numerous items were stolen between noon Friday and midnight Monday from a trailer at a Mitchell Hill Road parking lot in Summit Township. Michael Lutz of Butler owns the stolen property.Sunday Someone apparently fired a BB gun at two vehicles in Center Township. The tailgates of both vehicles at 106 Lions Road were hit between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.Saturday An unknown burglar stole 20 golf cart batteries from a garage on Beck Road in Summit Township. The used batteries, taken between April 1 and Saturday, were 6-volt and most were missing tops.Of the stolen batteries, owned by Harry Hein of Butler, eight were New Castle brand, six were Trojan brand and six others had no name.Thursday A Summit Township man reported a computer hacker charged $530 to his online PayPal account; that charge was then taken from the victim's checking account at the Butler Armco Credit Union.
Wednesday Police arrested Richard James Marzullo, 20, of Shippenville on charges stemming from the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile between 2005 and 2008 at a home in Madison Township.Marzullo is charged with 75 counts each of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, and aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old.The suspect remains in the Clarion County Jail on $100,00 bail.
8:05 a.m. Saturday Tyler James Biedenbach, 18, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found sitting in a vehicle at a store parking lot in Freeport.Police said Biedenbach and a 17-year-old Butler boy in the vehicle also face charges for underage drinking. Additionally, the 17-year-old, who police did not identify, is accused of carrying a prohibited offensive weapon.Friday Green paintballs fired from a vehicle struck a business and a shed in neighboring municipalities in north-central Armstrong County. Damaged in the paintball attack was the building that houses Mountain Trails at Routes 66 and 28 in Boggs Township and a shed on Mahoning Road in Pine Township.
