Virginia Cammisa

Virginia M. Cammisa of Butler will celebrate her 99th birthday with a family dinner.

The former Virginia Corcetti was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Hooversville.

She married Hector Cammisa on Aug. 30, 1934. He is deceased.

She has two children, Vincent (Betty) Cammisa and Mary Lu (Ron) Steighner.

She also has six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Cammisa is a former tailor and seamstress. She served as a volunteer for 18 years at Butler Memorial Hospital and for 40 years at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler, she is a member of the church’s 55 and Alive club and a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
