12:27 a.m. Sunday — Dale Dunkle, 38, of Bruin was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license after allegedly hitting a 36-year-old Bruin woman in the face with his fist, threatening to shoot Victor English, 50, of Petrolia with a gun and damaging English's vehicle with his fist. Police report Dunkle then fled the scene. He later went to a residence at 350 E. Main St. in Eau Claire searching for the victims. Dunkle was released later that day from Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.10:36 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Grant Baron, age unavailable, of Butler slid off Portman Road in Summit Township, hitting a mailbox, before going through another yard and hitting a bush, tree stump and a second tree. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Baron was cited for driving too fast for conditions. The East Butler and Herman volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.1:10 a.m. Saturday — Todd Gibson, 51, of Prospect was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 488 in Prospect.Saturday — Sharon Rodgers of Jefferson Township reported the theft of $9,860 worth of jewelry from her residence on Becker Road between 9 a.m. Sept. 11 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the burglary may call police at 724-284-8100.Friday — Someone broke into the Schell residence on Burnside Road and stole an undisclosed amount of women's jewelry between 7 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. Anyone with information about the burglary should call police at 724-284-8100.10:04 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Trevor Gordon, 17, of Tarentum spun off Brewer Road and hit a tree and garden at 450 Westminster Road before landing in a ditch. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.9:35 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Matthew Baker, 20, of Kennerdell in Venango County hit a tree off Route 138 in Washington Township before spinning into a second tree. He was taken by Petrolia Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.4:01 p.m. Thursday — A pickup driven by David Mikulski, 32, of Bruin ran into the front of a school bus driven by Ronald Ehrman, 61, of Karns City that was stopped at the end of a one-lane bridge on Troutman Road in Concord Township. No injuries were reported, but medical personnel checked the occupants of both vehicles, including nine Moniteau students as a precaution. Mikulski was cited for a traffic violation.6:56 a.m. Sept. 8 — A pickup driven by Robert Rak, 26, of Pittsburgh hit an embankment off Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and rolled over several times before coming to rest on its roof. Rak received moderate injuries. Police report he fell asleep at the wheel, leading to the accident. He was cited for not staying within the road's lanes. The Portersville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.

3:30 a.m. Sunday — An SUV driven by Justin Wagner, 24, of East Brady hit an embankment off Route 58 in Licking Township. Police report Wagner then fled the scene. He was cited for multiple summary citations.Saturday — Someone threw an ear of corn through the window of a residence on Perryville Road in Perry Township between 11:15 and 11:45 p.m. Damage is estimated at $150. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 814-226-1710.9:05 p.m. Friday — An unknown vehicle hit a mailbox off Doc Walker Road in Perry Township before fleeing the scene. 10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Brian Ennis, 50, of Grove City hit a utility pole and a street sign of Route 173 in Pine Township. Ennis received a minor head injury but refused medical treatment. The impact sheared off the top of the pole. Both lanes of the highway were closed for about one hour while downed wires were cleared from the scene. The Pine Township Volunteer Fire Department cut and removed the wires from the road. Grove City police also assisted state police. The driver, who was using a cell phone when the accident occurred, was cited for a lane violation.4:08 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Chrissy Loyns, 31, of Grove City hit a utility pole off North Liberty Road in Liberty Township. A car driven by Julie Lewis, 34, of Slippery Rock swerved to avoid the SUV, but was struck by flying rocks. Both drivers received minor injuries.Thursday — Judith Miller of Springfield Township reported the theft of $2,900 worth of rings stolen from her Fassinger Lane residence that occurred between May 1 and Thursday.8:45 a.m. Sept. 10 — Two 16-year-old girls were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Lakeview High School in Sandy Lake Township.

5:30 p.m. Sept. 8 — A car driven by Randall Forester, 39, of Chicora hit the rear of a car driven by Tamara Davis, 35, of Vandergrift while it was stopped at the intersection of Route 356 and Freeport Road in Freeport.
