Linda L. Pearce, 60, of Butler died at 1:44 p.m. Sunday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 26, 1947, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Pearce and the late Doris A. Shook Pearce.

She was a member of the North Main Street Church of God, the VFW Post 249 Ladies Auxiliary and the Duck Pin Bowling League. She enjoyed working with flowers, dining out and traveling. She was caring and loving to all she met.

Surviving are her companion of 17 years, Edward Dankmer of Butler; one brother, Gary D. Pearce of Butler; one sister, Sandra K. Pearce-Mato and her husband, Larry Mato, of Butler; two stepchildren, Brent Dankmer of Brentwood, W.Va., and Melinda Robson of Moundsville, W.Va.; three step-grandchildren, Blaise, Zabrya and Zade; and two dogs, Cookie and Abbey, who were the center of Linda's life. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pearce, who died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth C. Hall, visitation pastor of North Main Street Church Of God, officiating.
