Betty J. Gregory, 87, of Renfrew died at 11:45 p.m. Friday at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born July 25, 1921, in Connoquenessing, she was the daughter of Melvin and Edna Johnston Cooper.

She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Connoquenessing.

She was a nursing assistant at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Butler and retired in 1984.

She enjoyed her family and loved cooking and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Gregory, who she married July 3, 1943; a daughter, Mrs. Carol (Roger) Kline of Renfrew; a granddaughter, Kelli (Josh) Mato of Butler; a grandson, Chad (Wendy) Kline of Freedom; a great-granddaughter, Janna Elizabeth Kline; a sister, Dorothy Farmen of Connoquenessing; a sister-in-law, Marcella Johnston of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, James and Robert Johnston.

<B>GREGORY</B> — Friends and relatives of Betty J. Gregory, who died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald n. Volz Funeral Home</B>, Evans City.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
