Thursday — Police charged Brandi M. Rock, 20, of Butler with driving under the influence stemming from a one-vehicle crash about 8:05 p.m. Dec. 1 on Pillow Street. Rock was trapped in her sport utility vehicle following the crash and Butler firefighters had to pull her out.Police recently received the results of a blood test that showed Rock's blood-alcohol level was 0.203 percent, or more than double the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.4:24 p.m. Wednesday — Brandon A. Norris, 20, of Butler and Jonathan Fusaro Podobensky, 21, of Renfrew were cited after allegedly kicking a car at a home in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue. Police said both men appeared to be intoxicated when officers caught up to them a short time later.Norris and Fusaro Podobensky are both charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Norris also is charged with underage drinking.
1:54 a.m. Thursday — Thomas W. Graham, 44, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash on New Castle Road in front of Butler Commons. Police also cited Graham for driving at an unsafe speed. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on an unrelated warrant, following his arrest.3:03 p.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy, who police did not identify, struck a utility pole along Acre Avenue. A West Penn Power crew had to replace the pole. Police said the boy was cited for careless driving.12:37 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Adrianna Ewing, 34, and Heather Lapusnak, 42, both of Butler, collided on Route 356 at the Point Plaza.Lapusnak suffered a minor injury. Ewing cited for failing to stop at a red light.10:51 a.m. Wednesday — Police found a missing mentally-challenged woman in Lyndora. The woman, when found, had clothing and other items that did not belong to her. Anyone missing that property is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.
Monday — Police accused Benjamin P. Enis, 24, of Grove City of kicking in the door of an occupied apartment in the 600 block of South Center Street on Nov. 14. Enis is charged with attempted burglary, trespass and criminal mischief.
Tuesday — Police charged Gregory Allen Smith Jr., 34, of Lyndora with providing a Center Township man with a phony check for $1,845 on Dec. 13. The suspected victim learned that the check was fake after he deposited it into his account. The check was later returned as fictitious. Smith is charged with theft by deception.Tuesday — At least three males are suspected of assaulting a New Castle man at The Heights apartment on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. The alleged assault occurred between 3:30 and 4 a.m. One of the suspects, who investigators did not identify, is known, according to a police report.
